The new almacén (“farm building”) is under construction (late November 2010). There have been many delays since this was first decided upon in autumn 2008. These pages reveal some of them!

The story so far..
One cannot extend the house of Cerradilla which has only 2 bedrooms. So we have determined to build a superior almacén beside it.. It cannot be attached to the house, and so on. After a series of juggles a compromise design was agreed: various further queries came up before permission was given.
Finally it was revealed that written permission could not be given at this stage for a simple reason: the farm building must be ancillary to a house. But the house “does not exist” as far as some government documentation is concerned (even though it was originally built about 200 years ago!).
The situation is being corrected , but as this may take a very long time the Alcarde (Mayor) has given his approval for us to go ahead.
